I love this track, so I was well chuffed to get pole.
For some unknown reason my pit crew put twice as much fuel in than was needed, so the car felt a bit lumpy for the first few laps. Luckily, indeed amazingly, in eleven laps I only had one small incident when the back end got jealous of the front end always being in the lead, and tried its hardest to overtake it.  Meanwhile Bo was bearing down on me and I thought I'd lose the lead, but I managed to gather it up and continue, but it cost me about fourteen seconds.
Well done to Bo for an outstanding fastest lap in a BRM  notworthy and his well deserved second place,
and well done to everyone else for finishing.
Sid

By the way...it's official....Da Bosse has now done more races than Rubens Barrichello http://freeleo.wplanet.hu/weekly/1_statistics.php

Thanks Sid, I agree Solitude is a great track. Difficult is to learn were (1) not to push cause its dangerous, like  Frauenkreuz (2) where not to push cause you should sacrifice speed in this corner to get an late apex in next, like at Cafe Glemstal and Krummbachtal (3) and for some parts, only way to use the gears as the aliens do is to know exactly the line, meaning also where to have only 2 wheels on track (mainly the whole last sector). I learned (3) in qually, crashed 2 laps in a row in same corner trying what aliens do

Qually, as stated no full lap at all.
Race, was a bit late at brakes at T1 but luckily nobody was at my outside to crash in so lined up behind Sid and Leffa. Leffa got wide at Deizpitz where the grass is more slippery than anywhere else so I tucked in behind Sid. Lap2 I did exactly the same mistake as S9 Lap2 in the superfast lefthander and crashed without control. Lucky noone else seemed to be affected. This time I first waited for everyone, rejoined and then noticed that I only had one front wheel  Cry On the other hand, I could use the reset button so  Peanut butter jelly time!

After 2 laps, came close to Andy who made a mistake at last corner and help me pass, thx. Got closer two Leffa lap after but he lost it in Frauenkreuz and made a move from right side to left to put the car safe. Unfortunately it was too late I was already at the brakes seeing a fez in the middle of the road and couldnt handle it and took hide into the woods again. Andy seemed to have a similar incident at the same moment, but I am not sure. I hadnt reacted I would have avoided the incident since Leffa would have moved away from track the time I entered the corner. Andy waited very kindly for me to get started thanks again mate

Then some laps later I got closer to Leffa again who seemed to go take the right road at the Frauenkreuz sign but the aliens who put up the sign did not allow  Grin

No it was time to put in some laps, Sid was away in the distance but I had to try. I was shocked when I noticed that I still had 5-6 more times to pass the superfast lefhander after Steinbachsee, was I going to survice? I had no clue. It felt like I closed my eyes every time even though I was very concentraced with both eyes wide open

Finally Sid did a mistake with 2-3 laps to go and I was very close. Still not easy to put any pressure, Sid did not have any obvious weeknesses and Solitude require its part of the concentration. When 1 lap to go I was pretty close just before Krummbachtal in sector 4 but I didnt concentrate enoug to handle the dust coming from Sids car when taking the cut in the corner. I turned a tinywiny 10th of a sec too late but it was enough for the car to go left instead of right. I was pretty quickly on the road again without reset this time but it didnt matter, for the first time ever I got wide at Hesersbachkurve, the hairpin and faced the wrong way   I was pretty satisfied anyway with the race, Solitude always provide some great turns and marvelluous combinations and this time Sid pulled of a a very consistent race just as Clive did S9.

Well done Sid, it was very impressing and a very strong achievement

Thanks Pete for hosting, Pete, Andy, Leffa and Sid for racing.

Bosse

Edit: corrected to correct driver name from Jani to Andy (Andrew Livingstone).

Strange, I was thinking of Andrew but wrote your name instead. Corrected now.

Cheers
